About the job

Your Mission

This is a company built for growth.

When you join exmox, you're stepping onto a global, highly competitive playing field, solving real problems in environments that push you beyond your comfort zone. We move fast, cut the noise, and focus on what actually matters, because in our industry, speed wins.

With 50M+ platform downloads, we're rapidly scaling one of the most exciting innovations in mobile gaming: a rewarded user engagement and acquisition platform that helps players discover, and engage with games they enjoy - creating lasting value for both players and gaming studios.

As (Senior) Finance Manager, you won't just be closing the books. You'll own the topics that sit between accounting and controlling: the cash forecast leadership relies on, the audit that runs on time, and the IFRS numbers that hold up in front of auditors and our group. Reporting to our Head of Finance in a team of five that covers exmox and its sister entities in the Aonic Group, you'll also be the one who takes the team's manual work and turns it into automation, and you'll step in as deputy for the Head of Finance.

At exmox, we're also embracing AI as part of how we work, not just what we build. We use AI tools to work smarter, cut down on repetitive tasks and spend our time where it actually moves the needle. In finance, that means less copy-paste and more time for analysis. If that mindset speaks to you, you'll fit right in.

If you bring solid IFRS know-how, a builder's mindset and the drive to make finance faster, let's talk.

In this role you will:

Cash Flow & Liquidity: Own our rolling cash flow forecast, update it weekly, reconcile forecast vs. actuals and explain the gaps, and take the model further with scenarios, a longer horizon, FX exposure and an entity view.

Audit Project Management: Project-manage year-end audits and group reviews end to end, from timeline and PBC lists to follow-ups, keep the Head of Finance updated on progress, open items and risks, and prepare the analyses and documentation auditors need.

IFRS Conversion: Own the conversion of our local HGB financial statements to IFRS for all entities, reflect the adjustments in the group figures and keep the logic documented, reproducible and audit-ready.

Accruals & Provisions: Build and maintain complex accrual and provision models, such as user reward provisions under IFRS and media cost accruals, and make the logic defensible towards auditors.

HQ Reporting: Support the monthly reporting, budget and forecast submissions to Aonic HQ, including KPIs and variance analyses, and help keep management, HQ and statutory figures consistent.

Automation & AI: Spot the manual, repetitive work in finance and accounting and automate it with AI tools, our ERP, SQL or scripts, then make sure the team actually uses what you build.

Deputy & Projects: Step in for the Head of Finance during absences and take on ad-hoc projects such as new entities, banking or process documentation.

What You Bring

Relevant Experience: You have 4 - 6 years of experience in audit (ideally Big 4), transaction services, or finance and controlling in a scaling company. A background in adtech, gaming or another digital business is a plus.

IFRS & HGB Expertise: You know both well and have done HGB-to-IFRS conversions hands-on. You understand group consolidation, including intercompany and eliminations. Experience with consolidation tools or group reporting systems is a plus.

Modelling Skills: You build financial models in Excel or Google Sheets that others can follow and trust. SQL, a data warehouse like Databricks or NetSuite experience is a plus.

Project Ownership: You drive timelines and stakeholders, not just tasks, and you keep the details under control when deadlines get tight.

Automation Mindset: You've already used AI tools or automation to take repetitive work off your own plate, and you want to do the same for a whole team.

Communication Skills: Full professional fluency in English. German is a big plus.

How We Win

Speed is the feature. Speed beats rocket science. We move fast, test fast, and multiply our pace with AI, because action creates information and small wins compound. A fast failure is a lesson we learn from, a slow one is a problem we can't afford.

Focus on the essential. Done is better than perfect. We stay focused on what actually moves us forward and protect people's time from anything that doesn't. We're direct in how we communicate too, no rambling, no unnecessary detail.

See it. Own it. Solve it. The first to see it is best placed to fix it. We're not a place for comfort, we're a place for doers. "Not my job" isn't in our vocabulary, if you spot something, you help make sure it gets solved.

Respect others. Trust multiplies. Respect is non-negotiable. We disagree with ideas, never with people. Trust here is built the same way it is anywhere, through consistency, a thank you, a moment of listening, and owning your mistakes.

Perks that help you focus on what matters. Transport subsidy, learning budget, wellness and gym, workation, bi-weekly team lunches, and more. The perks are great, but the real reason people join and stay is the challenge, the ownership, and the drive to win together.
