Lead Data Platform Engineer

About the Role

Lead the design and operation of a production data platform for a B2B procurement technology product. You will work hands-on with product and engineering teams, as well as customer IT teams, to make enterprise data reliable, secure, and useful for procurement analytics.

What You'll Do

Design multi-tenant architecture and reusable data models that protect customer data and support fast, reliable queries.

Build data cleaning, reconciliation, and analytical calculations for spend analysis, supplier comparisons, and simulations.

Connect enterprise systems such as ERPs, choose suitable synchronization patterns, and make integrations repeatable.

Own data ingestion, orchestration, monitoring, and recovery, and build tools that improve onboarding and troubleshooting.

Explore AI-powered development tools and automation to help improve engineering workflows.

What We're Looking For

At least 5 years of experience building and operating production data systems, including ownership of architecture and implementation.

Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in data modeling and query optimization.

Practical experience designing multi-tenant systems with data isolation and access controls.

Experience owning ingestion, orchestration, monitoring, and recovery, and integrating enterprise systems.

Comfort discussing schemas, APIs, permissions, and synchronization directly with customer IT teams.

Data-intensive B2B SaaS or fintech experience is useful; procurement experience is not required.
